Cheesy Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or sausage
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of cheddar or cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 bag (8–12 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots or cooked egg noodles (your choice!)
  • Optional: frozen peas or corn

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a skillet, cook onion and meat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cooked meat, both soups, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half the cheese. Add optional veggies here if using.
  4. Layer the mixture in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
    • If using noodles, stir them in before spreading into the pan.
    • If using tater tots, pour mixture in first, then arrange tots on top.
  5. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
