Hey friend—I’m Tamara.
I’m a blue-collar wife, mama of five wild and wonderful boys, homeschooler, author, digital creator, and deep believer in building something beautiful from the messy middle.
I started The Gathered Kind because I needed a place to tell the truth.
The kind of truth that doesn’t fit into a 15-second reel or a perfectly-filtered post.
A place where faith and frustration can sit at the same table.
Where motherhood is holy and hard.
Where we don’t sugarcoat the struggle, but we don’t camp in it either.
Where we gather the sacred, the simple, the broken, and the brave—and call it a legacy in progress.
We live in a small town. My husband works long, backbreaking hours. I homeschool our kids, run my businesses from home, and write in the margins—between spills and snack requests and soul whispers I can’t ignore.
I’m not a polished influencer or a Pinterest-perfect mom.
I’m a heart-led woman on a mission to show other women what’s possible when they stop waiting for perfect and start building with what they have.
Here on The Gathered Kind, you’ll find:
- Real talk about raising boys and homeschooling without losing your mind
- Money tips for moms building from scratch
- Behind-the-scenes of writing books, making digital products, and creating income from home
- Raw reflections on breaking generational patterns
- Encouragement for the mama who feels like she’s too much and not enough
- Faith-filled reminders that God isn’t finished with you yet
This blog isn’t just mine—it’s a gathering space.
For women who are tired of chasing hustle and ready to build a life that feels like home.
For moms who crave purpose in the everyday.
For cycle-breakers, revival-starters, and legacy-builders who are doing it scared but doing it anyway.
If that’s you—welcome.
You don’t have to clean up first.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to show up.
We’re gathering the kind of life that matters—on purpose, with love, in the mess.
And I’m so grateful you’re here.
With grit, grace, and revival breath,
Tamara
