🌮 Ingredients
- Individual bags of Doritos or Fritos (or buy a big bag and scoop into bowls if needed)
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey), browned
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- Toppings galore:
- Shredded cheese
- Sour cream
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Salsa
- Jalapeños
- Ranch
- Guac
- Taco sauce
- Hot sauce (for the brave)
- Shredded cheese
👩🍳 Instructions
- Brown your meat in a skillet. Drain the grease and add taco seasoning with a splash of water. Simmer until well-coated and flavorful.
- Crush your chip bags lightly (just enough to break them up—not pulverize them).
- Let each kid build their own taco right in the bag (or bowl), adding taco meat and all their favorite toppings.
- Hand them a fork (or not!) and boom—dinner is served.
🧡 Why We Love It
- Interactive dinner = less whining. Kids LOVE building their own.
- Clean-up is almost nonexistent. Bless.
- Easily adaptable for picky eaters or food allergies.
- Perfect for groups—just make a taco bar and let the chaos begin.
These are a summer staple in our house and a party favorite with extended family. Plus, there’s something oddly satisfying about eating out of a chip bag like it’s totally normal behavior. (Because at this point? It is.)
